Let me introduce myself.
I’m Jill Tracy, owner and photographer at Maggie Jill Photography, a natural light photography studio serving the South Shore of Massachusetts.
I absolutely love my job! My passion for photography only grows with each photo I snap… being able to freeze a moment in time truly amazes me every day. To capture childhood memories, family connections and newborn's first days is an actual dream job for me!
I specialize in Newborn, child and family photography. My studio is located in Stoughton MA, where all my newborn sessions take place but I’m happy to travel for outdoor, on-location shoots, within Stoughton, Easton, Bridgewater and the surrounding areas.
I’ve always had a passion for photography (I was 💯 the friend with the camera developing each image and plastering it into my scrapbook throughout my high school and college years) but my photography business didn’t begin until my friends began having babies in 2013. I started to play around photographing their babies and families and once I shared the images on social media things really took off! I took a much deeper dive into photography workshops, education and newborn safety and today I’m proud to work with families all over Greater Boston, many of who, return year after year, which is extra special because watching families grow is the best part of my job!

All of my work is completely natural light, both outdoors and in my studio. I love the light, bright, natural look that can’t be duplicated with artificial lighting. If you see the difference and also love that look, then you’re in the right place!
When I’m not shooting or editing, I spend as much time as I can with family and friends, creating my own memories! Summer is definitely my favorite season and I spend most of it at the beach or on the water! I pass the winter by cooking, sipping on wine, and binging my latest Netflix obsession! Speaking of obsessions… I can’t walk by a dog without petting it… it’s a problem. I dread the gym but love to stay active by playing softball and field hockey and I’ve recently fallen in love with golf!
If you’re still reading, good for you, you’re doing your research and that’s important! Finding a good fit is much more than just the images. I work really hard to balance a relaxing, stress free environment for parents and a fun and informal environment for kids! I aim to mix formal, posed images that grandparents will love, with the in between moments, that truly capture your families personalities. I’ll patiently work with your family to capture photos that you’ll not only be excited to share now, but you’ll also love looking back on when your little ones are grown up and starting families of their own!
